Overview AASIC 7

This annual event held as the acknowledgement of university student’s role as the agent of change that expected to be able to continuously provide a smedium for students, practitioners, and researcher all around Asia to share their knowledge and experiences in the field of health, social, science and technology. Those idea will further be implied to solve the upwards issues in the region and further provides studies directed to the government and policy makers in designing strategic planning towards the development of the region. This year, Prince of Songkla University will be the home for 7th AASIC.

Based on the Prince of Songkla University main quotes which is “Our Soul is the Benefit of Mankind”, we strive to give our contribution towards the development of the society. In order to achieve those purpose, AASIC 7 will be proudly presented with the aim of achieving our goal to develop Asia country region by the ideas from the youths and experts. AASIC will become a base for academician and student to gather their idea, aspiration and knowledge in dynamic and innovative event to further develop the sectors of Social, Science and Technology.


The AASIC 7 event expected to be held in Prince of Songkla University (PSU), Hat Yai in November 2019. The theme that will be presented in 7th AASIC is “Asia Towards the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, a Transformation between Local Wisdom and Globalization”. It is proposed as an idea on how to transform Asia towards Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs) 2030 of United Nation (UN) in the middle of globalization era without replacing the its local wisdom. Derived from the 17 points of SDG, AASIC 7 classified the issues into 5 sub-themes, which are :

  1. Human and Community Development
  2. Education, linguistics, psychology, Human development, gender equality, medical science, rural development, urbanization

  3. Food Security
  4. Agronomy, food technology, fisheries, animal husbandry, nutrition, functional biotechnology

  5. Sustainable Energy and Natural Resources
  6. Green and alternative energy, disaster mitigation and management, biodiversity, forestry

  7. Economic, Industry and Innovation
  8. Microfinance, business, management, accounting, halal industry, tourism, engineering, science and technology, transportation, supply chain management

  9. Human Rights and Democracy
  10. Law, human rights, social and political science
